Solina Group to acquire specialty culinary sauce business New Ivory from Rob Whitehead

Solina Group (“Solina”) has completed the acquisition of New Ivory Ltd from Rob Whitehead. Adam Jones and the New Ivory Management Team will stay in the Company. New Ivory is a leading producer of innovative culinary sauces in the UK for the meat, fish and poultry industries. New Ivory has longstanding relationships with both retail and industry customers based on a deep knowledge and understanding of global taste and food concepts. New Ivory has approximately 180 employees and is headquartered in Elland, UK.

Laurent Weber, CEO, Solina Group, said: “New Ivory is highly recognized for its proactivity and service level in both the retail and industry markets. Solina Group is strengthening its presence in the UK with the acquisition of New Ivory. Solina’s European objective is to complete its fast growing network of local service operations.

New Ivory presents a perfect strategic match for the Group as it is now part of a strong culinary wet sauces operation next to our existing, Netherlands based, Nieuw Vennep factory. Customers of both Solina and New Ivory will benefit from an extended service platform and more R&D and innovation investment. The group will offer the widest range of products in savoury Food markets in Europe”, added Laurent Weber.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value. Solina was advised by Oghma Partners, Eversheds and Ernstd & Young while Rob Whitehead was advised by Walker Morris and Grant Thornton.
